The German company has been active since 1920 producing wood pulp bread proofing baskets..

What is wood pulp?

This wood pulp for making bread baskets is derived from fresh spruce wood and is free of any chemical additives and is produced locally in a purely physical way.

While being supplied with water, fresh tree trunks from sustainable forestry in Germany are pressed against rotating stone rollers. The wood structure is broken up and molecules of cellulose are attached to each other to create fiber material. The rest of the wood components, including the natural wood adhesive lignin, are retained.

Due to the yellow-brown discoloration of the shape caused by lignin, you may recognize it as being yellow, as heat or sunlight will cause things to yellow. This yellowing is therefore not a problem but proof of the natural state of the wood pulp used.

Product features:

Measurement:

Inside Measurement: L24cm x W13cm x H6.5cm

Recommend Dough Weight: 650g to 800g

How to Use:

The wood pulp basket is ready for immediate use without any major pre-treatment. A little flour can be sprinkled inside and it can be brushed briefly.

How to Care:

To prevent mold from forming, ensure the baskets are completely dry.

To do this, place the mold (s) individually in a warm and well-ventilated place. In addition, you can use the oven's residual heat after the bread has been baked. At around 100 - 120 degrees Celsius, the baskets dry faster without damaging and at the same time all germs are killed. As soon as the baskets are completely dried, they can be stacked at a place with adequate ventilation for storage.

How to Clean:

Please don't wash the baskets with water, dry cleaning as described above only.

Please Note:

Please do not bake with the wood pulp baskets, they are for proofing only.
